Smerra,

Smerra, committed to your health and your student life

We believe that public health is not just about grand speeches.
It’s about being there, on the ground, with you. In your high school, your college, your residence, or even at a party.
We take action to ensure you have the information, the right reflexes, and opportunities to talk about it without pressure.

The Smerra teams work with schools to organize sessions on topics that really matter to young people: addiction, stress, sexual health, nutrition, sports, road safety, screen time, and more.

Each topic is addressed in an inclusive and participatory manner.

The idea? To give you the keys to gaining independence, without judgment or taboos.

We watch over you

at night too

In several cities, teams of students patrol the streets at night to talk about safe practices in party settings. It's peer-to-peer, between young people, to get the right messages across at the right time 🌙.

Talking,

to feel good

Health is also about self-esteem, confidence, and the image we project. With workshops on relationships with ourselves and others, Smerra invites you to take the time to reflect on what matters to you, with empathy and respect.

Acting together

is vital!

Donating blood, supporting a cause, building connections: that's what citizenship is all about. For example, with the Blood Donation Challenge, Smerra is mobilizing students to take part in solidarity and engagement initiatives on their campuses.

Mental Health First Aid

Smerra trains its teams and elected representatives/associations in Mental Health First Aid.

This training provides them with the skills to help students who are experiencing the onset of a mental health disorder, a deterioration in a mental health disorder, or who are in a mental health crisis.

First aid is provided until professional help can be obtained or until the crisis is resolved.
