What is a claim?
A “claim” refers to an event or damage that occurs to the insured (that’s you) and is covered by an insurance policy (that’s us). Through its range of products, Smerra covers most of the mishaps that can occur in your student life. For example: a car accident, water damage, burglary, etc. With over 50 years of experience, we have encountered many situations and can provide you with the help you need.

Do you have Smerra insurance (essential civil liability, safety, health package + insurance)?
Accidents involving other people can happen quickly, so it is essential to know your rights if you cause damage to someone else. Whether the damage is material or physical, you can also claim on your Smerra insurance, particularly through the essential civil liability cover.
Examples of situations:
- I spilled my coffee on a friend’s computer
- My drill went through my neighbor’s living room wall
Have you been involved in an accident?
If you have an accident, you should file a claim under your personal accident insurance. Contact an advisor to find out what steps you need to take.
Examples of situations:
- a minor fall from your bike during your last hike
- a broken tooth after hitting a lamppost in the street
