Groupe UITSEM acts as joint guarantor for all financial commitments and expenses, including non-insurance-related expenses, undertaken by Smerra – Mutuelle étudiante. If the approval granted is withdrawn, the coverage will be terminated at noon on the fortieth day from the date of publication of the decision to withdraw approval, and the portion of the premium relating to the non-covered period will then be refunded to the policyholder.

OPTAM or OPTAM-ACO: Controlled Pricing Option

(*) The reimbursement by the Mutual Insurance Company of excess fees for consultations and medical procedures distinguishes between doctors who have signed up to the controlled pricing schemes (Controlled Pricing Option, Controlled Pricing Option for Anesthesiologists, Surgeons, and Obstetrician-Gynecologists) provided for in the National Agreement of August 25, 2016, applicable to private practitioners, from those of non-participating doctors.

(**) As defined by regulation (the amount of reimbursements for 100% Healthcare care and equipment applies within the limits of the maximum retail price for optical and hearing aids and within the limits of the maximum billing fees for dental care, in force on the date of care).

(***) Pursuant to Decrees 2019-21 of January 11, 2019, and 2014-1374 of November 18, 2014. For optical care, the flat rates include the frame and the co-payment. The mutual insurance company reimburses a flat rate for optical equipment every two years or every year for children under 16 or in the event of renewal justified by a change in vision, calculated from the date of purchase of the optical equipment. In all cases, the maximum reimbursement for frames is €50 for the Confort cover and €100 for the Tous Risques cover. Hearing aid package: limited to one hearing aid every four years for each ear. The Minimale, Essentielle, Confort, and Tous Risques supplementary health insurance plans, the Health + Insurance Packs, the Tonic Études supplementary insurance plan, and the Tonic Études Packs are automatically renewed unless terminated by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt two months before the annual renewal date in the first year of coverage. Once the first year of the contract has passed, the insured has the right to cancel without fees or penalties, in accordance with the mid-year cancellation provisions of the Hamon law.

Payment by direct debit: 2 to 5 monthly installments.

The Confort and Tous Risques supplementary health insurance plans comply with Articles L.871-1, R.871-1 and R.871-2 of the Social Security Code relating to “responsible contracts.” They do not cover surcharges related to non-compliance with the coordinated care pathway, the flat-rate contribution of €2 as of May 15, 2024, deductibles, or the non-reimbursable portion related to excess charges.

Insurance policies can be valid at your request from the day after you sign up. Home insurance, Indispensable and Sécurité insurance, as well as the Health + Insurance Pack, are automatically renewed unless terminated by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt two months before the annual renewal date in the first year of subscription. Once the first year of the contract has passed, the insured has the right to terminate the contract during the year without incurring any fees or penalties.

Information relating to guarantees and “Student liability” insurance policies

(1) Individual Accident Insurance taken out with Groupe UITSEM SIREN no. 3330176413, a mutual insurance company subject to the provisions of Book II of the Mutual Insurance Code. 400% of the TRSS (social security contribution rate) up to the limit of the costs incurred and a maximum of €4,500 per event. Coverage is provided in accordance with regulations (conditions, exclusion rules, and obligations under the law of August 13, 2004) and the coordinated care pathway.

(2) Payment of the Solidarité Exam allowance or payment of a death benefit for Indispensable and Sécurité cover:

– applies in the event of accidental death (or hospitalization of the insured for Solidarité Exam) while practicing amateur sports outside of competition. The following sports are excluded: professional sports, water sports (diving beyond 40 m, canyoning, rafting, white water swimming), mountain sports practiced on rock faces, cliffs, frozen waterfalls or glaciers, skeleton, bobsleigh, snow sports practiced beyond the top of ski lifts and outside marked trails, speed skiing, combat sports, caving and paragliding, air, water or land sports requiring the use of motorized equipment, with the exception of introductory sessions supervised by a professional with the skills and qualifications required by the State, record attempts, exhibitions and bets. Any competition and related training. Jumping into the void, regardless of the means used for the fall or landing.

– Does not apply in the event of accidental death (or hospitalization of the insured for Solidarité exam) caused by intoxication or the use of narcotics or tranquilizers not medically prescribed, or by any of the following conditions or illnesses, unless they are the result of an accident covered by the policy: mental alienation, mental disorders, psychological disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders, psychosis, neurosis, stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, cerebellar syndrome, degenerative neurological disorders, aneurysm rupture, ulcer, congestion, frostbite, or sunstroke.

Full hospitalization for a minimum of 5 consecutive days within a period of 30 days prior to the start date of the exams or during the exams. Coverage does not apply in the event of hospitalization related to spa treatment, maternity, termination of pregnancy, childbirth, or attempted suicide.

The death of the beneficiary’s father, mother, spouse (not divorced or legally separated), or child during the exam session or within 10 days prior to it.

The cover applies to all exams except thesis and dissertation defenses, competitive examinations, and continuous assessment. The insured must repeat the year, re-register for the same exams, and retake the same exam.

Information relating to international insurance coverage

(1) Flat-rate contribution of €2 as of May 15, 2024, and deductibles to be deducted from the amount reimbursed by Social Security for care provided in France.

(2) Within the limits set out in the coverage table.

(3) Coverage is valid only for the duration of the stay abroad, limited to one claim per stay. Only students residing in mainland France are eligible to subscribe. The insured item(s) must be declared at the time of subscription and the purchase invoice must be attached. Contract No. 2.500.360, taken out with AIG and IPID.

(4) Modification – Cancellation: if you are unable to travel abroad as planned, you must inform us before the departure date indicated on the certificate in order to modify the departure date or cancel the trip and receive a full or partial refund of the premium. Similarly, if you return from abroad earlier than planned, you must notify us of the change in your return date before arriving in France in order to request a refund of the excess premium.
